    Almost Halloween

Sunday, October 28, 2007, 07:36 PM EST [General]

So, my first year at my new college isn't so terrible. I've been invited to join the honor society for my major and I'm pretty excited about that even if I haven't completely decided if I want to join yet. Although I wouldn't mind it because finally, I'm in higher ranking world, the one I should have been in during highschool, but school politics kept me out of. I think I'm going to do it.

My girlfriend and I have been getting along fine, even living in the same room together. No big deals. Our apartment is nice. Not too big, but hey, that's what you get when you live in university housing. It suits our needs just fine though. Bathroom and kitchen to ourselves. It's nice not having to use a huge community bathroom. We have the place kind of decked out for Halloween and I'm excited, even if my plans for Halloween probably involve sitting at home and watching the whole night of Ghost Hunters live episode.

We cooked a meal tonight, and my gf has a lot to do, so I kind of took to cleaning up and will probably take to doing some other things to kind of keep her out of the red zone so she doesn't get too frustrated with things. Even if I do have some things that I should be doing myself. Oh well, I don't have my one class tomorrow, so I can always get up and do some things tomorrow before class. Well, I just wanted to check in. And post a picture of my Halloween altar.

I haven't been around in awhile

Tuesday, June 5, 2007, 04:16 PM EST [General]

I've been 'enjoying' my boring summer, wondering what I'm going to do, and trying to figure out a nice way to earn some extra cash for this next school year since I'm not having a luck with jobs. I've been managing with my freelance writing gig. Since I live at home it's not so bad trying to get by. I have a lot more money saved up in my checking account than I had expected, so I should have enough, since my mother is going to help pay for the rest of my tuition and my books, I should have plenty to last at least a semester, and I can always take on a few more articles to get by.

Friday Erin and I have to go to Morgantown to spend a day at our new school preparing for this coming semester. We have to schedule and all of that wonderful stuff. We will get to take a tour and we'll also get to have a meal on campus. I really hope we get a chance to see our apartment but I don't know if that will work out or not. I'm just not looking foreward to the long day that it will be.

I am however looking foreward to going out with Erin. We haven't been out in awhile, so I'm picking her up and we're going out to lunch and what not on Thursday and then coming back here before we leave for Morgantown.  I'm really tempted to head to several places and not just one on Thursday. We'll wait and see how that one pans out there. I just don't know.

    Altar box project

Tuesday, April 17, 2007, 12:15 AM EST [General]

Sorry I haven't updated in like forever. I'm mainly using this for more spiritual practices anyway. However I digress.

I started work on the altar box project that I talked about a few entries back. I found some small unfinished wooden boxes at The Dollar Tree. I have the entire thing painted and I have collected items to go inside of it. The outside is silver, with the triple moon on the top, while the inside is a blue color. The outside will be glossed over to protect it while the inside will probably stay a matte finish.

How I'm going to decorate the inside is still yet to be completely decided. I'm unsure really. The box isn't as big as I had wished, but hopefully it will suit my needs regardless of the size. I shall post pictures when I am done. I'm considering doing some more of these small boxes and selling them on my craft site on etsy. I'll let everyone know how that goes. I'll post pictures of my finished box soon.

I wrote an article for AC about Covenspace and I gave it a great review. You can read the article here.

Feel free to check out my other articles on AC. I'd appreciate it.

The end of the school year is winding down for me. It's not fun, especially now with the paranoia of the shooting today at Virginia Tech. It's made us, students at a small campus nervous to attend classes for fear that something could happen here, even though it seems that nothing ever could.

Anyway, I hope I'll get to update some more later.

What Type of Pagan Are You?

Thursday, March 29, 2007, 03:54 PM EST [General]

You scored as Ecclectic Pagan. A veritable blend of all the pantheons and perhaps a dash of a few other religions as well, you're the versitile Ecclectic Pagan. You have no problem wearing an ankh while setting an offering to Herne on your alter just below your image of Hera. You don't believe in coloring within the lines, and are a bright free-thinker. While you respect the views of your fellow pagans, as far as you're concerned, religion is the sky, and there's no one about to clip your wings with lines and limitations.
